Argentina Mining Limited (ASX:AVK) is exploring for gold and copper in Argentina and Chile.  The Company’s project portfolio located in Argentina’s principal mining province of San Juan includes previously established porphyry copper-gold targets at Cerro Blanco and regional exploration projects near Barrick Gold's major Veladero and Pascua-Lama operations. 

After completing its heavily oversubscribed $6m Initial Public Offer (IPO), the Company’s securities (AVK, AVKO) commenced trading on Wednesday 9 March 2011.

 Leading nickel and gold company Independence Group NL is a 19.9% cornerstone investor. 

AVK is currently undertaking geophysics and drilling at the Las Leñas epithermal gold-silver prospect, part of the Company’s San Francisco Project in San Juan Province in Argentina .

Geophysics has been undertaken at the Tres Amigos gold-copper project, which lead to drill ready targets.
